As part of its poverty remediation efforts through empowering vulnerable citizens with skills and tools, do you know that the Buhari administration has just concluded the training of 4,572 Kano State residents in poultry farming?
The beneficiaries, who were drawn from all the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State, were trained for a week in the city of Kano by the National Agricultural Mechanization Cooperative of Nigeria (NAMCON) after which they were given some basic poultry tools to enable them start their farms.
It is therefore important to emphasize that these 4,572 prospective poultry farmers have the potential of growing their businesses and creating thousands of more jobs when they engage new hands to work with them. This is exactly what the Buhari administration seeks to achieve.
