The federal government says more development projects across the country will soon be completed and delivered for the use of Nigerians.
President Muhammadu Buhari stated this in Efon Alaaye, Ekiti State at the official inauguration and handing over of Efon Alaaye, Erimo, Iwaraja road.
Represented by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, President Buhari said his administration had embarked on many life changing projects which would have direct impact on the people.
The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fasola, represented by the Director of Highway, Southwest, Mr. Adedamola Kuti pointed out that the ministry was working towards ensuring that all federal roads were in good condition.
Ekiti state Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who spoke through the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi appreciated the federal government for embarking on the road project.
The Alaaye of Efon Alaaye, Oba Emmanuel Aladejare and the Awaraja of Iwaraja Ijesa, Oba Sunday Ibironke called for regular maintenance of the road to ensure its durability, while commending government for remembering their towns.
The 22 kilometres road which was awarded in 2009 was completed in 2019.
